Monarch LifeSciences is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) that offers biomarker discovery services to the Pharmaceutical and BioTech industries internationally. Originally, it was one of eight initiatives conceived by BioCrossroads, an innovative collaboration between industry, academia, and government in the life sciences. Monarch was rebranded for commercial purposes in 2007.

Susan Rubinsky Marketing Consulting (SRMC) was a pivitol player in the strategic development of internet initiatives during the rebranding effort.

SRMC is currently retained by Monarch in the ongoing development of traditional and internet initiatives, including:

  • website content and functionality design and development
  • search engine optimization (SEO) and SEO-PR
  • strategic reporting, analysis and reccomendations for Google AdSense (PPC)
  • email marketing planning
  • marketing and sales messaging and creative development

Chabaso Bakery is a locally known and loved institution. Atticus bookstore owner, Charles Nagaro, began baking artisan breads for the cafe in his downtown bookstore when he was unable to find anyone to bake the breads he had tried and loved in Europe. Eventually, the breads became so popular he opened the Chabaso Bakery at a separate location to handle the increased volume.

Chabaso breads are now sold throughout New England and the Tri-state area through small local grocery stores and some of the larger well-known chains, like Stop & Shop. Chabaso continues to see tremendous growth and is in the process of building a new bread factory in New Haven.

Susan Rubinsky Marketing Consulting launched a newly designed and developed site for Chabaso in the Spring of 2008. Various other internet projects are planned for 2008 and 2009, including lead generation and engagement programs for Chabaso and a new website for the Atticus Bookstore.

We worked with Neutocrete, a company that seals commercial and residential dirt crawl spaces, in 2006 and 2007, on a year-long project to completely overhaul the company's internet marketing — from the website to Google Pay-per-click to email — to be in alignment with the company's strategic plan. Neutocrete operates via a dealer network on the eastern seaboard and in the northwest, USA.

RESULTS: Neutocrete successfully harnessed internet-based lead generation initiatives and greatly increased the amount of leads from the internet, accounting for 18% of all leads, up from less than 2% of leads for 2005. 3% of the overall marketing budget was spent on internet lead generation activities in 2006, yet it accounted for 13% of revenue. In addition, internet-generated leads had higher average sales than leads generated through traditional mediums like radio and direct mail.

Infinty Hall is a music venue and café located in a historic 300 seat theatre in Norfolk, CT. Owner, Dan Hincks, is currently renovating and restoring the victorian era building and plans to open the hall in the Fall of 2008.

Susan Rubinsky Marketing Consulting has been contracted to design and develop the internet presence for Infinity Hall which includes the website, online ticketing, and email marketing solutions. The first phase of the project, the website, launched in May 2008, while the ticketing system is scheduled to launch in Summer 2008.

Beachhead Consulting provides to-market strategic planning and interim executive management solutions to the Pharmeceutical, LifeSciences, BioTech, and Medical Devices industries.

SRMC is currently designing and developing a new website for Beachhead with a planned launch in Summer 2008 and has been retained by Beachhead since 2003 for online lead generation and sales initiatives.
